Patriot Aircraft - Aircraft manufacturer Patriot Aircraft USA operates the Bibb County Airport under an agreement with the Bibb Airport Authority. In the past few weeks Don and Ron Wade, owners of the operation, have moved from the Bessemer airport. The brothers operated an airplane repair business for several years, before choosing Bibb County Airport to build their new airplane design.
Spokesman Don Wade was interviewed by the Centerville Press, and he wasn't shy about breaking down the design features of the latest aircraft his company has been working on for years. Although the plane that people called the "Cub" looked like an airplane, Wade's plane, called the "Super Patriot," was nothing like the old Cub from which he flew. Apart from building new aircraft, the company also repairs damaged aircraft for owners and insurance companies. The company currently has three recovery plans.
